Depression, anxiety may be helped by yoga
Yoga may help those that suffer from depression and anxiety. Boston researchers suggested that this is possible by elevating brain gamma-aminobutyric, or GABA, levels.
Low GABA levels are some indications of depression and anxiety disorders. Thus, pharmaceutical agents are designed to increase GABA levels. By using magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging, to compare the GABA levels of eight subjects have found to increase 27 percent GABA levels after one hour of yoga.

Antidepressants linked to suicide risk in young adults
May 2nd – Food and Drug Administration , otherwise known as FDA proposed that the antidepressant manufacturers shall include a warning of increased risk of suicidal thinking and behavior in young adults aged 18 to 24 during initial treatment on the existing black box of their products labeling.
FDA proposal is based on their internal committee’s finding on 77,000 adult patients with major depressive disorders.
